I have been an attorney in active practice for 35 years. I am licensed in Ohio and New York, as well as numerous Federal and Appellate Courts. I am a 1989 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, and received my B.S. from Bowling Green State University in 1986. Community involvement has always been important to me, presently serving on the Certified Grievance Committee of the Akron Bar Association and past board member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Global Business, University of Akron College of Business (2010 – 2017), Walsh Jesuit High School Booster Club (2014 – 2016), Volunteer Service - Archbishop Hoban High School (2008 – 2012) , St. Sebastian Church and Elementary School (1998-2012), Boy Scouts of America (2002-2010), West Akron Baseball League (2006-2010), pro bono legal representation. Faith, Family, Friends, Community, Career, and spending time outdoors are priorities.
My varied litigation experience makes me particularly qualified to handle a wide range of civil litigation matters including contract disputes, probate matters, business/partner disputes, real property disputes, and other select civil litigation cases. I have a particular interest in probate litigation, having successfully litigated breach of fiduciary duty, concealment of assets, and undue influence cases.
For those who have lost a loved one, it can be a challenging time on many levels. I strive to alleviate much of the stress and worry that may come with the executor's role in handling the personal and business affairs of the one who has passed. Having lost my parents at a time when I was just entering the practice of law, I was witness to the problems one can face with an incomplete estate plan, or when details of probate administration are overlooked. I feel privileged to provide my clients with peace of mind knowing they can trust my work ethic, my professionalism, and my thoroughness.
I am licensed to practice in Ohio and New York. For a complete list of circuit and federal court admissions, please refer to my LinkedIn profile.
